Civil Rights Compliance & Title IX

TCC is committed to establishing a safe and healthy environment for its students, employees, and visitors. Individuals deserve the right to work and learn in an atmosphere free of violence and harassment and only if the community works together can we create a positive and healthy environment. The College takes acts of dating violence, domestic violence, harassment, threats, and bullying on the basis of sex, retaliation, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and stalking extremely seriously and strongly encourages individuals to report these acts. Notice of Non-Discrimination.

There is HELP. There is HOPE. Speak Up.

To report a concern, please email speakup@dfyiqi.com or call 918-595-7711. You may also reach out to the Civil Rights Compliance Team to schedule an appointment and for more information on our education and training.

Northeast Oklahoma Community Resources

A collection of Northeast Oklahoma community resources designed to give TCC students support to be successful. While this list is not exhaustive, we have made every effort to include many services in Tulsa County and surrounding areas.

TCC does not discriminate against any student on the basis of pregnancy or related conditions. Absences due to medical conditions relating to pregnancy will be excused for as long as deemed medically necessary and students will be given the opportunity to make up missed work. A student is allowed to return to the same academic and extracurricular status as before the medical leave began. You can view a short video on pregnant student rights. Students needing accommodations can seek assistance from the Title IX Office at 918-595-7842 or TCCTitleIX@dfyiqi.com.

To support our faculty and staff, we are providing a Pregnancy and Parenting Guidance document that will answer many questions. In addition, Stephanie Merritt, Associate Professor in the Nursing School, has recorded a video for faculty on pregnant students' rights.

The College supports the rights of nursing mothers in the workplace in compliance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Mothers returning to work following the birth of a child will be provided reasonable break periods to express breast milk. The College has dedicated a Lactation room on every TCC campus for any student, employee, or visitor to use to express milk or to be used to feed a child if desired. Here is a list of the Lactation rooms:

Lactation Rooms

Every TCC campus has a designated private space where mothers can nurse or use a breast pump. If the room is locked, please contact Campus Police at 918-595-8888.

At TCC, we believe in fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion that welcomes and respects everyone for who they are and who they will become. As such, we have established processes that allow students to update a legal name or select a preferred name. This option has been developed to respond to the needs of those who prefer to use their middle name instead of their first name, people who use nicknames of a legal name, international students that might use an anglicized name or students who use a name that affirms their gender identity. TCC employees should contact humanresources@dfyiqi.com.
